Weil Hall

Weil Hall is the engineering administration building at the University of Florida, designed in Collegiate Gothic style with symmetrical facades, pointed arches, and ornamental stonework throughout its structure. The multi-story building serves as the central hub for the College of Engineering, housing administrative offices and departmental facilities.

The building was constructed between 1947 and 1949 under architect Guy Fulton's direction during Florida's post-war development period. It gained recognition by the National Register of Historic Places in 2008, acknowledging its architectural significance.

The building houses the College of Engineering's administrative offices and serves as a central location for Civil and Industrial Engineering departments' academic activities.

The building sits in a central location on campus and is accessible during standard university hours, making it easy to visit while exploring the grounds. The exterior can be viewed and appreciated from nearby campus walkways without advance arrangements.

Students from Civil and Industrial Engineering departments host an annual Pig Fest to mark the end of each academic year. This informal celebration has become a distinctive way for the engineering community to mark the transition between semesters.
