College Park Historic District

The College Park Historic District includes 90 historic buildings across 220 acres, bordered by Maryland Drive, North Federal Highway, and North Dixie Highway.

The neighborhood emerged during the Florida Land Boom of the 1920s, with Edgewood Realty Co. selling 90 percent of the lots within three hours of release.

Mediterranean Revival and Mission Style architecture dominate the older homes, while post-World War II structures display Masonry Vernacular and International styles.

Home renovations within the district require compliance with preservation regulations to maintain the architectural integrity of the National Register listed structures.

Each street in the district carries the name of an American college or university instead of using traditional numerical or alphabetical designations.
