Blue and Green Diamond, Twin towers in Miami Beach, United States
Blue and Green Diamond is a pair of 44-story residential towers, each 170 meters tall, on Collins Avenue north of the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach. The two buildings are mirror images of each other, with typically eight units per floor. Near the top, Tower Suites have wrap-around terraces; the top full floor holds seven penthouses, six of them two-story with private roof terraces and plunge pools. The architect was Robert Swedroe.
The project was completed in 2000 and marked an important phase in Miami Beach development. At that time, the towers became the tallest oceanfront residential buildings in the entire United States.
The two towers are named for their colours: the northern one is the Blue Diamond, the southern one the Green Diamond. They were designed by the Miami firm Robert Swedroe, and the stand-alone clubhouse was modelled on the mansions that lined the 1920s Miami Beach shoreline.
The complex sits directly on Collins Avenue, one of Miami Beach's main streets, which makes orientation easy for visitors. The surrounding area is accessible and the beach is within walking distance.
The complex features a clubhouse inspired by the design of 1920s Miami Beach mansions. The clubhouse also includes tennis courts built on top of the parking structure.
