Pineda is a former settlement in Brevard County with approximately 33 residential homes spread along a road near the railroad tracks. The area features natural waterfront landscapes that give the place a quiet character.
Two property developers established the settlement in 1894 by creating a detailed plan with hundreds of house lots. The project was never fully completed, which is why the area remains much smaller than originally envisioned.
The community park along the river serves as a gathering spot where people observe migratory birds in winter months. Many visitors come here to experience the natural surroundings and watch the species that pass through seasonally.
Access to the former village is easiest via State Road 404, which offers four lanes and connects the area to other parts of the county. Visitors should be prepared for quiet roads and natural paths, as the area is less developed.
Eight houses along the riverfront offer direct access to the Indian River Lagoon, where people can watch wading birds, loons, and duck species. This immediate location by the water makes these properties particularly special for nature observers.
