Winchester Symphony House

The Winchester Symphony House is a two-story residence built in the Florida Cracker style on Highland Avenue in Melbourne. The structure preserves its original architecture with porches and tall windows characteristic of this regional building tradition.

William Treutler, director of the State Bank of Eau Gallie, had the house built in 1886 in the Eau Gallie district. Its construction marked the early development of Melbourne as an affluent residential area.

The house serves as the administrative headquarters for the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, hosting offices and meetings for musical activities. Its rooms bring together musicians and supporters of the local music scene.
