Green Gables is a Queen Anne style house in Melbourne, Florida, situated along Harbor City Boulevard with views toward the Indian River. The wood-frame building features the decorative porches, asymmetrical facade, and ornamental details typical of this architectural style.

William T. Wells and his wife Nora Stanford Wells built the house in 1886 as a winter residence, at a time when Melbourne was still a very young settlement. It was one of the first houses in town and reflected the arrival of wealthy pioneers in the area.

Green Gables is also called the Wells House, after William T. Wells, who had it built with his wife Nora Stanford Wells, a niece of Stanford University founder Leland Stanford. Wells ran the Wells Rustless Iron Company and a pineapple plantation on the beach, and he donated 35 acres for Wells Park and built Melbourne's first auditorium, high school and library.

Green Gables stands at 1501 South Harbor City Boulevard, fronting the Indian River. The original 150-acre property once took in the land now occupied by Wells Park and the Melbourne Public Library on East Fee Avenue and Hickory Street. The house was scheduled for demolition in 2015; ownership passed on June 12, 2023, to the non-profit Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village.

Green Gables is believed to be the first home in the area with indoor plumbing and an indoor bathroom, and it was also among Melbourne's first houses wired for electricity. Its original 150-acre property took in the land now occupied by Wells Park and the Melbourne Public Library on East Fee Avenue.
