Cinderella Castle

This structure stands at the center of Magic Kingdom park in Florida, rising 57 meters with white and blue Gothic towers. The architecture combines pointed roofs with decorated facades to create a fairy-tale silhouette against the sky.

The team led by Ken Anderson completed construction in July 1971 for the opening of Walt Disney World in October that same year. The design drew on European castles and was conceived specifically for the central location of the park.

The building draws its name from Disney's animated character whose fairy tale unfolds through glass mosaics on the interior walls. These mosaics use over 300,000 pieces of Italian glass to illustrate scenes from the story in bright colors.

The restaurant on the second floor offers meals during the visit, while children can receive princess makeovers at the nearby boutique. Reservations for both services are in high demand and should be planned ahead.

The construction uses forced perspective, with elements becoming smaller toward the top to create the illusion of greater height. This technique comes from filmmaking and makes the towers appear taller than they actually are.
