Bunnell

Bunnell is the administrative hub of Flagler County located in northeastern Florida near the Atlantic coast. The city functions as the county seat and provides governmental services to the surrounding area.

The settlement began in the 1880s and took its name from Alvah A. Bunnell, a shingle maker who established roots in the area. The community received official city status in 1924.

The Old Flagler County Courthouse from 1926 anchors the town's center alongside historic homes like the Lambert House. These buildings reflect how the community values and displays its past through preserved structures.

The town is best explored by car since government buildings and sites are spread throughout the area. Plan your visit during business hours when county offices and local attractions are open.
