J. Mack Robinson College of Business Administration Building, Bank building in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia

The J. Mack Robinson College of Business Administration Building is a 14-story structure at the intersection of Broad and Marietta streets in Atlanta's Fairlie-Poplar district. It combines university academic facilities with banking services, maintaining a Bank of America branch on its ground floor.

Built in 1901 as the Empire Building, it was Atlanta's first steel-frame structure and remained the city's tallest building until 1906. This construction marked a turning point in Atlanta's growth as a modern business center.

The building's name honours J. Mack Robinson, the Atlanta businessman and philanthropist whose gift supported Georgia State University's business school, housed here. The ground floor has held a Bank of America branch since NationsBank, which bought Citizens & Southern National Bank in 1991, took the Bank of America name after acquiring BankAmerica Corp.

The building stands at 35 Broad Street NW and provides direct access from the downtown area. Visitors should keep in mind that the structure remains actively used throughout the day, so access to certain areas may be limited.

In the 2016 film The Founder, about Ray Kroc and McDonald's, the building doubled as the Illinois First Federal Savings & Loan association building rather than simply appearing. It also served as a bank in the opening robbery scene of the 2025 film The Naked Gun, starring Liam Neeson.
