Lanier National Speedway, racetrack in the United States
Lanier National Speedway is a motorsport racing track in Braselton, Georgia, near Atlanta. The venue spans about a third of a mile with a paved oval layout and hosts go-kart racing, drifting events, car shows, and community gatherings throughout the year.
The track was built in 1982 by racing driver Bud Lunsford as a dirt oval and paved in 1987. It hosted local and national racing series for decades before being transformed in 2014 and reopening in 2016 with a new focus on go-kart racing and community events.
The facility is open year-round and offers go-kart racing mainly on weekends for all ages. The venue features multiple track layouts, maintains clean and safe facilities, and has helpful staff available to answer questions and assist visitors.
The venue sits directly across from Road Atlanta, a well-known racing facility, making the area a hub for motorsport fans. Beneath nearby Lake Lanier lies a submerged older racing track that becomes partially visible when water levels drop.
