Built in 1885, this National Register of Historic Places building functioned as the central location for county administration until its operations moved to a new facility in 1988.
The Gallery Hall presents seasonal art exhibitions while the Veterans Memorial Museum displays military artifacts and personal narratives from local service members.
The courthouse welcomes visitors Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for self-guided walking tours.
The courthouse grounds contain a memorial cemetery with eight soldiers from Gwinnett County who received recognition through a monument dedication in 1840.
