The Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity features a central dome constructed by the Guastavino tile Company of Woburn, Massachusetts and traditional religious icons.
The church opened in 1953 after relocating from its original 1911 location on Fishburne and St. Phillip Streets due to the construction of Interstate 26.
The religious icons within the church were created by Photios Kontoglou from Athens, reflecting traditional Eastern Orthodox artistic techniques and religious symbolism.
Located at 30 Race Street in Charleston, the church holds regular Sunday services at 10:00 AM and maintains a congregation of 450 families.
Three members of the parish have entered ordained ministry, with Danny Latto and Ernest Yatrelis becoming priests and George Malanos serving as permanent deacon.
