Top of the Mark, Rooftop restaurant at InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel, San Francisco, United States
Located on the 19th floor, Top of the Mark presents full 360-degree views of San Francisco, including Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge.
George D. Smith established Top of the Mark in 1939, transforming the hotel penthouse into a dining venue that became a farewell point for World War II servicemen.
The restaurant maintains a tradition of live jazz performances every Saturday evening, drawing both local musicians and visiting performers from across the Bay Area.
The establishment serves dinner from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on weekdays, extends hours until 12:30 AM on weekends, and requires guests under 21 to leave after 9:30 PM.
The Sunday champagne brunch features fresh Dungeness crab, rock shrimp eggs Benedict, and an array of local seafood specialties served at 19 stories above street level.
