Club Fugazi

This red-brick building at 678 Green Street houses a performance venue with a stage designed for circus acts and musical productions. The space has been configured to integrate acrobatics, live music, and theatrical elements into a single experience.

Constructed in 1913 as Fugazi Hall, the building initially served as a gathering space for Italian immigrants in North Beach. Over the decades it evolved into a theater venue presenting diverse kinds of performances.

The venue carries the name of John Fugazi, a banker who served the Italian community in its early years. Today visitors experience how the space maintains its roots in the neighborhood while hosting contemporary performances.

The building sits in the heart of North Beach and is easily walkable from nearby areas, with clear signage on the exterior. Visitors should note that seating capacity is limited and most performances tend to sell out.

The Cirque du Soleil collective 7 Fingers transformed this historic location into a contemporary circus venue. This partnership brought athletic artistry into a space traditionally known for different forms of entertainment.
