Liguria Bakery

Liguria Bakery produces different types of focaccia daily, including plain, garlic, rosemary, and pizza varieties from their corner location on Stockton Street.

Founded in 1911 by Ambrogio Soracco and his brothers who emigrated from Chiavari near Genoa, the bakery transformed into a focaccia-only establishment by 1984.

The bakery supplies its traditional Italian focaccia to local stores and restaurants while maintaining its original storefront across from Washington Square Park.

The establishment opens at 7 AM until noon, with customers forming lines early in the morning as products frequently sell out before closing time.

The third generation of the Soracco family continues to wrap their focaccia in butcher paper with twine, maintaining century-old preparation methods.
