Boeddeker Park

Boeddeker Park is an urban space covering approximately one acre in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. The park contains a basketball court, outdoor exercise equipment, a central grass area, a clubhouse with multipurpose rooms, and public restrooms.

The park opened in 1985 as a community gathering space in the neighborhood. A major redesign completed in 2014 transformed the site to better serve the local area.

The mural titled Everyone Deserves a Home reflects values that resonate deeply within the neighborhood. Sculptures including a bronze piece and globe design express the diversity of people who gather in this space.

Walking paths with accessibility ramps make the park easy to navigate for visitors of all abilities. Restrooms and sheltered areas in the clubhouse provide comfort and protection from the elements.

The park earned recognition for sustainable design practices and received an architectural honor award. This distinction reflects how thoughtfully the space was developed to meet community needs.
