Empty Cloud Monastery spans three acres of land, featuring meditation halls, living quarters, and gardens dedicated to Buddhist practice and contemplation.
The property transformed from a Catholic monastery into a Buddhist center in 2019 when monks Ayyā Somā and Bhante Suddhāso established their Buddhist Insights organization.
The monastery brings together Buddhist teachers from multiple traditions, offering teachings, meditation sessions, and retreats that incorporate various Buddhist lineages and practices.
Visitors can participate in daily meditation sessions starting at 5:30 AM, with the main meal served at 11 AM and evening ceremonies beginning at 7:30 PM.
The monastery operates as a gender-inclusive community where both male and female monastics and lay practitioners share spaces while maintaining separate living arrangements.
