Charles Piggott House, Romanesque Revival castle in Southwest Portland, Oregon.
The Charles Piggott House features crenelated parapets, a semi-round tower, and masonry walls constructed with bricks from Piggott's own manufacturing company.
Built in 1892 by Charles Henry Piggott, the structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 after serving various residential purposes.
The architecture reflects the influence of Roman castles, with the original name Gleall Castle derived from the first names of Piggott's children: Gladys, Earl, and Lloyd.
Located at 2591 SW Buckingham Avenue, the building stands on the southwestern slopes of the Seventh Street Terraces with views over Portland.
The entrance displays a moulded rail door with floral-patterned wood inlays and bronze rosettes, complemented by brick voussoirs and ornamental carved details.
