Figo House, Queen Anne style house near Portland State University, United States
The Figo House displays traditional Victorian architecture with ornate wood details, steep roof lines, and multiple decorative window arrangements throughout the structure.
Built in 1894, the residence became the center of a property rights case in 2006 when the local transit authority attempted to acquire it for development.
Portland attorney Randal Acker named the house after his dog Figo, referencing Portuguese soccer player Luis Figo, adding a personal connection to the property.
The building currently functions as a law office, demonstrating how historical residential structures can be adapted for professional use in urban settings.
The owner recreated a scene from the animated film Up by attaching colored balloons to the roof after winning the legal battle to keep the property.
