The 9.6-acre park includes basketball courts, tennis facilities, sports fields, and walking paths surrounded by natural landscaping along Reedville Creek.
The land, previously a filbert orchard, was purchased by the city in 1999 and transformed into a public park that opened in 2003.
The park functions as a community center where local residents participate in tennis camps, safety fairs, and environmental clean-up initiatives throughout the year.
Visitors can access multiple recreational facilities, including a parking lot for 40 vehicles, public restrooms, and illuminated sports areas for evening activities.
The 19,000-square-foot skatepark, designed with input from local teenagers, represents the first and only skateboarding facility in Hillsboro.
