Noble Woods Park is an urban park in Hillsboro spanning 40 acres along Rock Creek, with trails winding through forested sections and wetland areas. The site features approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) of paved paths, stone bridges, a covered shelter, and restroom facilities.
The city purchased the land in 1992 from Charlie Noble, the person for whom the park is named. The public opening took place in 1998 during Earth Day celebrations.
The area draws local residents who actively participate in conservation work, regularly removing invasive species to protect the natural environment. This hands-on involvement has transformed the space into a place where the community feels invested.
The park features wheelchair-accessible paths throughout, making navigation straightforward for all visitors. Spring through fall offers the best conditions for visiting, as trails are well-maintained and natural areas are at their fullest.
The park features stepping stones across Rock Creek that allow visitors to wade through the water without disrupting the natural flow. This thoughtful design demonstrates how recreation and environmental protection can work together.
