Turner Creek Park

Turner Creek Park is a recreational area in Hillsboro with sports facilities, playgrounds, and walking paths following a creek. The grounds feature tennis courts, soccer fields, and softball diamonds for various activities.

The park was founded in 1990 through a federal program for alternative schools that funded the construction of dams and trails. Later in 1997, a wildflower garden was added to enhance the natural landscape.

The park functions as a neighborhood meeting point where locals gather for sports and outdoor time together. Families use the fields and trails regularly as part of their everyday routines.

The park can be accessed from the area around 32nd Avenue and offers parking and public restrooms at various locations. Visitors can use the paths year-round, though weather conditions may affect ground conditions.

Nearly 100 trees were donated and planted by neighbors to create the park. This community involvement makes the space a special local project shaped by residents.
