Hare Field

Hare Field is a sports stadium in Hillsboro featuring a football field surrounded by a running track, locker rooms, and covered seating. The facility accommodates roughly 5,000 spectators and has an all-weather playing surface for year-round use.

The William G. Hare Field opened in 1965 as a baseball stadium before hosting its first football game in September 1966 between Hillsboro and Gresham High Schools. The facility later became a primary venue for high school sports in the region.

The field serves as home ground for Hillsboro and Glencoe High School teams and hosts regular sports competitions that draw local crowds. Community members gather here for games and events that are central to the school sports calendar.

The stadium is located on NE Grant Street with on-site parking available for visitors, making access straightforward. The all-weather surface allows events to run year-round regardless of weather conditions.
