The Vancouver National Historic Reserve spans 252 acres, containing Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Officer's Row, Vancouver Barracks, and Pearson Air Museum.
Fort Vancouver served as a Hudson's Bay Company trading post from 1824 to 1860, directing operations throughout the Pacific coast before the United States Army established Vancouver Barracks.
The district maintains archaeological sites, educational programs, exhibitions, and demonstrations that highlight Pacific Northwest military history, fur trade, and aviation development.
The reserve remains accessible daily at 750 Anderson Street, bounded by Evergreen Boulevard, Interstate 5, and the Columbia River in Vancouver, Washington.
Nine archaeological sites within the reserve document regional development from early settlements through military occupation, preserving structures dating back to 1849.
