Jantzen Beach

Jantzen Beach was an amusement park along the Columbia River in Portland that featured water slides, pools, and various entertainment attractions for families. The grounds sat directly on the riverfront and provided visitors with a space for recreation and leisure.

The park opened in 1928 and became one of the major recreational destinations in the Portland region. Operations ceased in 1970, bringing an end to decades of waterfront entertainment and leisure activities.

A C.W. Parker carousel from 1921 was the last surviving original attraction from the park's early years. The carousel was eventually placed in storage as new development projects reshaped the site.
