Portland International Raceway, Motorsport racing track in Portland, Oregon.
Portland International Raceway is a motorsport track in Portland, Oregon, measuring about 1.97 miles (3.17 kilometers) with 12 turns. The longest straight stretches roughly 2300 feet (701 meters) and serves both professional and amateur drivers.
The racetrack opened in 1965 on the former site of Vanport City, a settlement completely destroyed by catastrophic flooding in 1948. Since then, the site has served as a motorsport facility with regular events.
The course is used year-round for both motorsport competitions and driving events that let visitors take laps on the track for a fee. During the off-season, the site transforms into a venue for light festivals and other public gatherings.
The course sits on North Victory Boulevard and is easily reached by car via nearby main roads. Driving experiences and training sessions come with professional instructors and require advance booking.
The property will expand to include a recreational vehicle park and an indoor electric karting facility. Additional commercial spaces are planned for racing vehicle services, attracting workshops and specialized providers.
