Mount Seymour Provincial Park, Nature reserve in North Shore Mountains, Canada
Mount Seymour Provincial Park spans 35 square kilometers across mountainous terrain, featuring numerous lakes, old-growth forests, and an extensive network of hiking trails.
Frederick Seymour, who served as Governor of British Columbia from 1864 to 1869, provided the name for this park established in 1936.
The British Columbia Mountaineering Club made the first documented ascent of Mount Seymour in 1908, marking the beginning of recreational activities in this area.
The park offers fourteen different hiking trails during summer months from May to October, with designated parking areas in lots P1 and P2.
The park receives varying amounts of snow depending on elevation, with upper sections accumulating up to 1,000 centimeters while lower areas get 100 centimeters annually.
