Expedia Building

The Expedia Building is a modern office tower in Seattle featuring 20 floors with expansive windows offering views across Elliott Bay toward the Olympic Mountains. The structure occupies a significant waterfront location with multiple functional areas designed according to contemporary architectural principles.

The building was completed in 2020 following an extensive renovation of a former waterfront campus site, led by architectural firm ZGF Architects. This transformation marked the conversion of an existing industrial location into a contemporary office space.

The headquarters incorporates flexible workspaces without assigned seating, promoting collaboration and equality among the global workforce of up to 8,000 employees.

The building is clearly visible from the water and surrounded by extensive grounds that include multiple entrances and parking areas. Visitors should be aware that this is a private corporate campus and access may be limited to authorized personnel.

The entrance features two cable net walls using pre-tensioned steel cables that support insulated structural glass and allow for flexible movement. This engineering system represents a rare application of cable net technology on a building of this scale, creating a distinctive visual statement at the entry.
