Evans Peak, Mountain summit in Golden Ears Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada.

Evans Peak rises to 1,132 meters (3,714 feet) elevation within the Garibaldi Ranges in southern British Columbia. The terrain features steep slopes and rocky sections that lead to the summit.

The mountain received its name in 1966 honoring Leslie and John Evans, a father and son who disappeared in the area. This naming commemorates an event that shaped the mountain's identity in local history.

The summit sits within Golden Ears Provincial Park, where hikers experience mountain routes that are part of British Columbia's outdoor traditions. The area draws visitors seeking connection with the natural landscape of the Pacific Coast ranges.

Climbers should watch for the lower junction from Alouette Mountain and prepare for steep scrambling in the upper sections. Sturdy footwear is essential for navigating the slippery and rocky ground.

The summit connects to several neighboring peaks including Blanshard Peak at 1,550 meters (5,085 feet) and Edge Peak at 1,680 meters (5,512 feet). These nearby summits create a ridge system that hikers can explore in a longer day excursion.
