Evans Peak rises to 1,132 meters in elevation within the Garibaldi Ranges, featuring steep slopes and mountain terrain in the Pacific Coast region.
The mountain received its name in 1966 after Leslie and John Evans, a father and son who disappeared in the valley between Edge Peak and Blanshard Peak.
The summit stands as part of Golden Ears Provincial Park, which maintains British Columbia's natural landscapes and mountain hiking traditions.
Climbers need to watch for the bottom junction from Alouette Mountain and prepare for a steep scramble in the upper section with appropriate footwear.
The peak connects to several neighboring summits, including Blanshard Peak at 1,550 meters, Edge Peak at 1,680 meters, and Golden Ears at 1,716 meters.
