Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park, State park and historic site at Lake Tahoe, California.

The park stretches across 2,500 acres of forested mountains in El Dorado County, featuring two miles of Lake Tahoe shoreline and numerous hiking trails.

The Washoe people first inhabited this land before William Phipps built his cabin in 1860, followed by banker Isaias Hellman's Pine Lodge construction in 1903.

The Hellman-Ehrman Mansion stands as a testament to early 1900s architecture, with guided tours available from June through September showcasing period furnishings.

Visitors can access the park's beaches, camping facilities, and hiking trails through a $10 daily parking fee, with winter activities including cross-country skiing.

The park hosted the biathlon and cross-country skiing events during the 1960 Winter Olympics, remaining the sole Sierra Nevada state park operating winter facilities.
