First National Bank Building, Bank building in downtown Albuquerque, United States
The First National Bank Building stands nine stories tall with arched windows, gray marble veneer base, and vertical setbacks highlighting its architectural design.
Constructed between 1920 and 1923 by architectural firm Trost & Trost, this 141-foot structure remained the tallest building in Albuquerque until 1954.
The entrance lobby features a 28-foot coffered ceiling supported by octagonal columns, while dental motifs and horizontal lines adorn the cornice.
Located at 219 Central Avenue Northwest in Albuquerque, the building now combines residential apartments and commercial spaces following multiple renovations.
The structure contains its original bank vault and maintains many period details despite conversion from banking hall to modern office space in 2017.
