Summit County, County in northeastern Utah, United States

Summit County spans 4,874 square kilometers of land between the Uinta Mountains and Wasatch Mountains, with elevations reaching 8,388 feet above sea level.

The Utah Territory legislature established Summit County on January 13, 1854, initially including parts of present-day Wyoming until its final boundary adjustment in 1918.

The county includes Park City, which transformed from a silver mining center into a location for winter sports and outdoor recreational activities.

Interstate 80 and U.S. Route 40 provide main access routes through Summit County, connecting residents to essential services in Coalville and neighboring communities.

The county contains 39 of Utah's highest mountain peaks, leading to its name and making it a center for mountainous activities.
