Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and Rectory

Saints Cyril and Methodius is a brick church in Rock Springs with Romanesque Revival design and a 125-foot spire above the main entrance. The building features four bells in the belfry and displays decorative stained-glass windows with rounded arches in the sanctuary.

The church was founded in 1910 and completed in 1925 to serve Slavic workers in the Union Pacific coal mines. The rectory, a red brick bungalow, was built in 1920 as housing for clergy serving the parish.

The church reflects the heritage of Eastern European immigrants who maintained their religious traditions in this place. It shows how this community expressed its identity through architecture and the practice of their faith.
