The Aspen Art Museum spans 33,000 square feet across multiple levels, featuring transparent walls that connect indoor galleries with outdoor mountain views.
Founded in 1979, the museum relocated in 2014 to a new building designed by architect Shigeru Ban, marking his first permanent museum in the United States.
The museum presents rotating exhibitions of international contemporary art, including drawings, paintings, sculptures, installations, and electronic media throughout its galleries.
Located at 637 East Hyman Avenue, the museum offers free admission and opens Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
The rooftop sculpture garden provides the only public viewing platform in Aspen with unobstructed views of Ajax Mountain.
