Built in 1890 during the Colorado Silver Boom for $20,000, the structure was designed by architect Frederick Albert Hale and initially served a Presbyterian congregation.
The sanctuary houses original oaken pews arranged in a semicircle, stained glass windows, and maintains its historical elements through careful preservation efforts.
The church holds weekly Sunday morning services with childcare and hosts multiple community programs, including regular Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and musical performances.
The building contains the largest organ on Colorado's Western Slope, installed during early 21st-century renovations, and serves as a venue for the Aspen Music Festival.
