Jacque Peak

Jacque Peak is a summit in the Gore Range located between Copper Mountain and Highway 91 in Colorado. The terrain consists mostly of open plateaus and ridges that form an alpine tundra landscape with wide views across the surrounding mountains.

The peak became known among climbers as a regular destination within the Gore Range and has served mountaineers for decades. Its position between major ski areas made it a recognized point on the hiking and skiing map of central Colorado.

Local mountaineers regularly climb Jacque Peak during winter months, making it a destination for backcountry skiing through its open bowls and ridges.

Access starts from Colorado Highway 91, with the hiking season running mainly from early summer through early fall. Warm clothing and precautions for alpine conditions are needed since weather can change quickly at this elevation.

From the summit you can see both the Tenmile Range and Mount of the Holy Cross, two mountain chains normally visible from separate vantage points. This dual view makes the location a special spot for photography.
