The 1stBank Center is an indoor event venue in Broomfield with a seating capacity of about 6,500 people. The building features bleachers along the sides, a large open floor area, and 26 luxury suites available for private events with up to 32 guests each.
The venue opened in 2006 as the Broomfield Event Center and was initially built to host sports events for the surrounding area. After redesign work between 2009 and 2010, it reopened with a new focus on concerts and entertainment performances.
Free parking is usually available in the lot next to the venue, though some events may charge for parking. For those using public transportation, a pedestrian bridge provides safe passage over the nearby highway and connects to the Broomfield Park-n-Ride station.
When the venue reopened in March 2010 after renovation, the band Further, featuring members of the Grateful Dead, performed at the opening show. This inaugural concert marked a new chapter for the redesigned space.
