Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, Buffalo jump archaeological site in Fort Macleod, Canada.

The cliff stretches 300 meters in length and rises between 10 to 18 meters above the valley floor at the Rocky Mountains foothills.

Native populations used this hunting location for over 5,500 years until the 19th century, driving bison herds over the cliff edge.

The Blackfoot people developed specific hunting techniques, using fire and blanket waving to guide bison from Porcupine Hills toward the cliff.

The Interpretation Center operates Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in winter and daily during summer, with adult admission at 15 Canadian dollars.

Accumulated bone fragments and stone tools at the cliff base form a 10-meter thick layer, preserving centuries of hunting activities.
