Mewata Stadium, Multi-purpose stadium in Calgary, Canada
The stadium grounds contained seating arrangements across multiple sections to accommodate 10,000 spectators for sporting events and community gatherings.
The Canadian Government provided land for Mewata Park in 1906, leading to the construction of the stadium that served Calgary for nearly a century.
The Calgary Stampeders played their home games at Mewata Stadium before and after the formation of the Canadian Football League until 1960.
The stadium location near Mewata Armouries made it suitable for military training and unit gatherings during World War II.
After its demolition in 1999, the site transformed into Shaw Millennium Park, featuring green spaces and facilities for skateboarding activities.
