Casino Regina

Casino Regina occupies a substantial stone building with terrazzo floors and marble columns that originally functioned as a railway station. The venue now houses over 800 slot machines and 35 gaming tables alongside multiple restaurants and bars throughout its various floors.

The building was completed in 1912 as a railway station and underwent a major facade redesign in 1931. This transformation shifted its style from Beaux-Arts to Art Deco, making it align with contemporary design trends.

The gaming venue displays the original railway timetable board and actively supports Indigenous employment through its operations. These touches show how the place has adapted its role to honor both its past and the broader community.

The venue is accessible throughout the day and night, with doors open from 9 AM until 4 AM daily. Navigation inside is straightforward with clear signage, and nearby parking options make arrival convenient for most visitors.

The basement contains former railway police jail cells and remnants of an underground tunnel system that once connected the station to downtown Regina. Few visitors realize these passages run beneath the city streets and were used for moving cargo and personnel.
