Prince Edward Building, Municipal heritage post office in Regina, Saskatchewan
The Prince Edward Building features Beaux-Arts style architecture with a bell tower, dormer windows, and large stone blocks at the corner of Scarth Street.
Architect David Ewart completed this federal building in 1907, serving as Regina's main post office until 1956 before becoming the city hall until 1976.
The Globe Theatre established its presence on the second and third floors in 1981, transforming the building into a center for performing arts.
The building at coordinates 50.4502° N and 104.61° W contains retail spaces on the ground floor, with theater facilities in the upper sections.
Prince Edward personally visited this structure in 2003, leading to its official renaming from the Old City Hall Mall to the Prince Edward Building.
