Splash Amarillo Waterpark

Splash Amarillo Waterpark was a recreational facility with multiple water slides and various attractions for swimming and water play. The grounds featured a large wave pool, a long lazy river circling the property, and additional areas designed for different age groups.

The facility opened in 2000 under the name FireWater Waterpark, bringing a new summer recreation option to Amarillo. The park operated for approximately 16 years before closing in 2016.

The park served as a popular summer destination for families across the Texas Panhandle region. People gathered from surrounding communities to spend time together in the water and enjoy seasonal recreation.

Visitors could bring personal coolers into the park for a fee to keep drinks and snacks cold. The facility was easily accessible via Interstate 40 exit 73.

In addition to water attractions, the park had two sand volleyball courts and an indoor arcade area. This combination allowed families to vary their entertainment options and find relief on the hottest days.
