Quanah Parker Star House, National Register historic house in Eagle Park, United States

The Quanah Parker Star House is a ten-room residence spread across two floors in Eagle Park, Oklahoma. A red roof marked by ten large white stars makes the building recognizable from a distance.

Rancher Burk Burnett funded the construction in 1889 as a residence for Comanche Chief Quanah Parker. Parker lived in the house until his death in 1911 and received important figures of his era there.

The building takes its name from Chief Quanah Parker, who lived here and welcomed guests from different worlds. The stars on the roof remain a visible sign of his position between Comanche and American society.

The site lies north of Cache and is currently closed due to ongoing restoration efforts. Water and weather damage have severely affected the interior and require long-term repair work.

Parker ordered the stars painted after staying at an upscale hotel in Washington, where the decoration made a deep impression on him. The number ten refers to the ten rooms inside and also served as a symbol of his rank.
