Southern Plains Indian Museum

The Southern Plains Indian Museum is an art museum in Anadarko that collects and displays objects from the region's tribal communities. The exhibits feature clothing, weapons, jewelry, household items, and contemporary artistic works.

The museum was founded in 1948 as a result of a partnership between the US federal government and Oklahoma state. The facility was created from a desire to preserve the artistic and cultural traditions of the Plains peoples for future generations.
