Central National Bank, Historic bank building in Oklahoma, United States

Central National Bank is a brick commercial bank building constructed in 1901 in downtown Alva, Oklahoma. It is a two-part historic structure whose facade reflects early twentieth-century commercial architecture, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 5, 1984. A retail banking branch still operates from the building today.

The building was constructed during a period of economic growth in Oklahoma when new financial institutions were needed. It was later added to the National Register of Historic Places because it documents this important development period.

The bank's naming history tracks its ownership: Alva National Bank was established in 1899, reorganized as Central State Bank in August 1913 by G.A. Harbaugh and other owners of Alva Security Bank, and renamed BancCentral, N.A. in March 2012. Since the 2020s a Dream First Bank branch has served customers inside the 1901 building.

The building sits at a street corner in Oklahoma and can be easily viewed from the outside. Daylight hours are best for photographing and observing the architectural details of the facade.
