Daniela

Daniela is a sand beach in Canasvieiras that forms a peninsula and extends into the sea. The water is shallow with white sand, sloping gradually into deeper areas, and the beach measures about 3.5 kilometers in length.

The area remained undeveloped until the 1970s when urbanization began there. Residential construction transformed this coastal zone into a populated beach neighborhood.

Local fishermen work using traditional methods along the shore, and the mangrove forests nearby are an important part of the natural experience for visitors. The community values these coastal practices as a connection to the sea that has shaped daily life here.

The northern section has swimming areas with lifeguards during summer months, though swimmers should watch for currents near Pontal. It is best to check water conditions before swimming.

The beach borders the Ratones River estuary where salt water meets fresh water. This mixing zone supports specialized plants and animals that thrive in this particular environment.
