East Kutai

East Kutai is a regency in East Kalimantan province on the island of Borneo, covering low-lying coastal plains and forested interior areas. The territory divides into multiple sub-districts, with North Sangatta serving as the administrative seat and housing the main government offices and services.

The regency formed through administrative reforms that reorganized the territory of East Kalimantan and created separate governing units for different parts of the province. This restructuring aimed to bring government services closer to scattered communities throughout the region.
