Boalemo

Boalemo is a regency in Gorontalo province on the island of Sulawesi. The territory consists of seven districts, with Tilamuta serving as the main administrative center for local governance.

The Indonesian government created this regency in 1999 through Law Number 50, separating it from the broader Gorontalo region. This division established it as an independent administrative entity for the province.

The population of 151,337 residents distributes across multiple districts, including Botumoito, Dulupi, Mananggu, Paguyaman, and Tilamuta, each maintaining local traditions.

The regency sits at an elevated location, and local transportation is the best way to explore the different districts. Getting around between areas works well through regional roads and connections to nearby towns.
