Strandbad Klagenfurt

Strandbad Klagenfurt is a public bathing facility on Wörthersee lake featuring spacious sunbathing areas, shaded zones beneath trees, and multiple piers extending into the water. The complex provides space for different water sports and recreational activities in an open lakeside setting.

The bathing facility was established in the early 20th century and developed into a popular summer recreation spot for local residents. The oldest structures, including the entrance building and northern cabin block, are now protected as historical monuments.

The facility accommodates up to 10,000 visitors during peak summer days, making it one of the largest lakeside beaches in Europe.

The location is easy to access with parking available and facilities for visitors with limited mobility. Changing rooms, showers, and restrooms are provided, and lifeguards are on duty during the operating season.

The facility features a 113 meter water slide with electronic timing, offering entertainment for visitors of all ages. Separate shallow areas provide safe spaces where children can learn to swim.
