Sulzenauhütte is a mountain hut located at 2191 meters (7,188 feet) in the Stubai Alps with accommodation for about 70 guests in various room types. The building offers simple rooms with four to six beds as well as double rooms to suit different needs.
The hut was built in 1926 and has been run by the same family since its founding. Management by the Leipzig section of the German Alpine Club has shaped how the place operates and develops.
The hut draws visitors with its cooking that uses food from nearby farms and producers in the Stubai Valley. You can taste how the local ingredients shape every dish, and many travelers come back for this reason.
The hut is reachable by hiking trail and sits at mid-elevation between the valley floor and the peak. Visitors should bring proper hiking boots and be prepared for sudden weather changes at this height.
Just nearby flow the Grawa and Sulzenau waterfalls, which can be seen from several viewing platforms. The waterfall trail connects different viewpoints along these natural cascades.
